Volunteer at NASA to Use Your CS Skills

If you’re looking to flex your CS skills, you could help develop a visual modeling program that will be the first of its kind. The project is the genetic modification of plants to produce a carbon nanotube network that will harness electricity.  Rachel, the project leader, is looking for CS students like you to model the affects of protein folding in conjunction with carbon nanotubules.

You will read scientific articles, participate in “Teaching Meetings”, and learn to communicate with a diverse scientific team; skills that will help you be successful in whatever you do. You can volunteer for the summer or as long as you’d like. If you love science, interdisciplinary projects, or are curious for more information, contact Rachel at rachel.d.major@gmail.com
