Windows 8 Student App Madness Challenge


Create and publish a Windows 8 app by April 11th, 2013 and you could receive a $100 gift card for each app published, up to $500 per round, and a max of $1500 for all three rounds. Microsoft will provide you with all the software, resources and support you need to get started, build your app, and publish it to the Windows Store. This is a great opportunity for you to get some app building experience and make some money while doing it!

Round 4: March 28-April 11

Foothill Computer Science and Engineering Club


The Computer Science and Engineering club will hold its first meeting Monday, 11 Feb, 1:30-2:30 pm.  in the cafeteria (Bjorn Wehlin will make sure the group is easy to find).

The first meeting is important as we will elect club officers and decide on a constitution for the club as well as plan our activities for the rest of the quarter.

Free Microsoft Software


DreamSpark is a Microsoft Program that supports technical education by providing access to Microsoft software for learning, teaching and research purposes.

DreamSpark is simple: it's all about giving students Microsoft professional-level developer and designer tools at no cost so that students can chase their dreams and create the next big breakthrough in technology - or just get a head start on their career.

Foothill College provides all currently registered Computer Science students access to this program.
If you want to participate, just send a private message containing your email address to your Computer Science instructor before 19 February, 2013. Within a few days after 19 February you will receive an e-mail from DreamSpark providing you instructions to access your account.
