NASA Internships


The Ames Community College Education Development Program (ACCEDP) is now accepting student applications for immediate placement. ACCEDP internships are specifically designed for community college students. The internships are invaluable opportunities for students to work with NASA researchers and scientists (STEM) and other professionals in mission support roles. These positions are stipended, academically enriching and career building opportunities for community college students. 

Eligibility:
- must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
- commit to a 1 year internship at NASA Ames
- be enrolled in at least 5 credits at a community college for the duration of the 1 year internship
- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Program Requirements
- invest 20 hours per week in the internship at NASA Ames
- maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
- maintain continuous enrollment in a community college

All majors are eligible. When applying, it is not necessary for students to specify any particular position by name as students can apply for multiple positions and for multiple recruitment sessions with one application.

Apple Internship


Duties and Responsibilities: Help with testing of developer tools (Xcode) and Mac OS Server for both new software releases and software updates to the current shipping release. Isolate issues found in testing, and write bug reports. Help with writing test plans and test cases. Automate testing by developing tools for specific test areas.

Salary: $12.00/hr

Minimum Requirements:
-Cumulative 3.00 GPA or higher in computer programming classes.
-Must be able to commit to 1-year internship (January thru December 2013).
-Be enrolled in at least one of C S classes at Foothill or CIS classes at De Anza College
          while interning at Apple.
-Be a legal resident of U.S.
