Discover the exciting world of AI! Listen in to this Career Hacks talk about What It's Like to be in careers in Artificial Intelligence. 

Brandon Johnson is Senior AI Solutions Architect at NVIDIA, a world leader in AI and accelerated computing technology. A tech trailblazer and emerging investor, Brandon provides a unique perspective to enterprises and startups doing large-scale AI model deployment and optimized inference microservices. 

Johanna Kim is the Executive Director at Stanford Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging. At the Stanford Center for AI in Medicine and Imaging, she has had the privilege of helping to design initiatives that drive forward research, education, and policy. 

Marissa Ramirez de Chanlatte is a co-founder and COO of Prompt AI. Prompt AI is harnessing the power of large vision and language models to build a visual home assistant.

Learn about the summer Community College Internships available at SLAC as well as through the Department of Energy at a number of national labs all across the country. STEM Education Program Manager, Hillary Freeman, will join IN PERSON to talk about the application process for SLAC summer internships.

  • have to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (have work authorization)
  • have to have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • have to be a STEM major

2024 RSL Symposium Thursday, May 16 Virtual and On-Campus

Foothill College Research and Service Leadership Symposium

 

Plan to participate in this campus and community-wide event!

The Research and Service Leadership Symposium provides students an opportunity to expand their learning beyond the walls of the classroom (or the confines of the screen); to investigate their world through in-depth research projects; to create and participate in worthwhile service learning activities, including original creative arts projects, and to present their newfound knowledge, insights and experiences to the campus community.

Students will gain experience presenting in a professional conference setting on the virtual campus through presentations, performance, displays and discussion.

The Symposium itself is the culminating event of these student projects. The event includes

  • A full day and evening of presentations, peer discussion forums, art galleries, and creative performances.
  • Awards ceremony, keynote speaker and closing celebration.

SLI Paid Summer Internships: Apply by May 1, 2024, Info Session Thursday March 21 4PM on Zoom

Through the Science Learning institute (SLI), Foothill College students will have an opportunity to engage in an internship either in research or industry, under the guidance of a mentor/ supervisor. Institutions and companies include Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, and other tech companies in the Bay Area.

 

Deadline to apply: Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 11:59pm

 

 

We encourage all students, especially those who have never had an internship and who are low income and first-generation college goers, to apply! Don't let fear get in your way!
