Reliablecoders is hosting a 'Hackathon' event of sorts at our Sunnyvale facility on Sunday April 14, 2013 at 10:00AM sharp. We have a few openings for new graduates on Web/Mobile app development. Please feel free to refer any students that might be interested. Here's a few details:

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

·       Grads that have some experience with Objective C (iOS), Java (Android) or PHP (web app)

·       Grads that have built a web or iOS/Droid app that they would like to show us.

SHOW OFF YOUR:

·       Skills at presenting your web or device app to our panel of three judges

·       Ability to on-the-spot tweak your app and demonstrate the changes

Spring Break Reading Recommendation

"The Cuckoo's Egg" by Cliff Stoll. The true story of an astronomer who found a 75 cent accounting error at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in the 80's and tracked it to an espionage hacker. It's a great mystery, and interesting to me since I lived in Berkeley at the time and remember when the story came out. Good information on the history of the Internet, Unix systems, Arapanet, Milnet, etc. with references to Berkeley hang-outs and culture.

Microsoft Developer Evangelist Visits Foothill

Dr. Doris Chen is a Developer Evangelist at Microsoft. She will be visiting Foothill to talk to students on Wed, 13 March, 10:00-11:00 am in Room 8401. Doris will talk about the current state of the computer industry and Microsoft's programs for computer science students.
